referrals
Thank you for entrusting us with the care of your patients!
- We DO take referrals from all sources, though urge all patients with chronic pain to stay connected with a primary care provider that can monitor and ensure that their general health is well-managed.
- We'll start with a brief "get to know you visit," most often virtually, to begin to understand the patient, their medical and pain history, as well as their goals. A treatment plan is developed, and further follow-ups are then scheduled based on mutual desire.
We use a self-scheduling process.
- Please also direct the patient to www.kineticspineandpain.com to learn how they can register and schedule their own appointment, which then gets matched to your referral information.
We are not able to provide long-term opioid management.
- We do offer a medication optimization service for patients who are interested in medication adjustments to improve safety, limit side effects, and minimize or eliminate opioids over time, while maximizing other pain management options.
- Please discuss this with any patients that are taking opioids before referring, so that they understand that opioid reduction is an explicit goal of our clinic.
- If no medication changes have been made in six months, the patient will be expected to transition stable refills back to their primary care provider.
